RCW Presents Sunny Days Are Here Again 2 06/10/2010
RCW presented “Sunny Days are Here Again 2” on May 1, and the second annual event was nothing short of spectacular! The event began with Sicodelico Jr., who just a month prior turned his back on his best friend SKAM-13, calling out “The Extreme Aztec.” However, SKAM_13 could not answer the challenge. As Sicodelico Jr. berated the Hispanic wrestling fans, out came Jacob Collins. Collins said that his brother Brandon wasn’t in attendance tonight, and wanted to prove himself in singles’ competition. Collins issued a challenge, and despite Sicodelico Jr’s protests, RCW promoter Brandon Oliver made the match. ![]() In the first match, Jojo Bravo faced “the self-proclaimed RCW Legend” Andy Dalton. This all started when Dalton confronted Bravo about losing to SKAM-13, and Bravo brought up Dalton’s “streak” of losing all of his matches this past year. This was an incredible match, but at the end, Dalton’s unlucky streak continued and Bravo captured the victory. ![]() In the second match, a Gauntlet Match was determined to name the new RCW Ring King. The match was under elimination style by pinfall or submission, beginning with two competitors and a new entrant every two minutes. The match began with the surprising return of Scott McKenzie who has not been seen in a RCW ring in over a year. The man that drew number two was McKenzie’s parter, Danny Matthews! The Big Time Playaz began the match “wrestling,” which consisted on wasting time and irritating the fans until #3 made his entrance. #3 turned out to be Ryan Sorenson, and the newcomer quickly displayed his athleticism, but soon was overcome with the 2-on-1 advantage. #4 was one half of the Tag Team Champions, Big Dogg. The others that followed were Amien Rios, Blair Spykes, and Darci Drake. However, when the “House of Pain” Keith Lee entered, all hell broke loose. Lee quickly eliminated Spykes. Numero Dos danced his way to the ring as the final entrant. After Rios was knocked out, Darci quickly scored the pin. While Darci celebrated, Big Dogg destroyed her and then made the elimination. Dogg was eliminated, leaving Lee, Sorenson, The Big Time Playaz, and Numero Dos. Collectively, the group dog-piled on Lee – with Dos on top – and with the distraction from Jax, pinned Lee. Sorenson & Dos were able to outlast the Big Time Playaz, leaving them as the final combatants. Sorenson was exhausted at this point, and the size difference was the final factor as Dos pinned Sorenson to become Ring King. ![]() In the third match, Skitzo – one half of the Tag Team Champions – issued a challenge to anyone in the back. Out came Jax Dane, whose rise in RCW has been meteoric. Skitzo tried some offense and to utilize his tag partner Big Dogg, who was kicked out from the ringside area. Jax came back and ended the match in dominant fashion with the running powerslam. ![]() In the fourth match, Jacob Collins attempted to make a name for himself by battling Sicodelico Jr. The younger Collins hit a variety of high-impact moves, but mush to the dismay of the crowd, Sicodelico Jr was able to turn the tide and secure the victory. ![]() In the main event, “El Mamacito” Ann Dromeda battled Joey “Super Shot” Spector with Paloma in his corner. The match was a Lumber-“Jill” Match in which female fans served as lumberjacks armed with leather straps. The special guest referee was WWE legend Tammy “Sunny” Sytch who made her triumphant return to RCW in the event named in her honor. Ann Dromeda came out in spectacular fashion as El Mamacito danced the “Macarena” with the lumberjills. Spector, for all his chauvinistic comments, had the women and the crowd completely against him and thus he wasn’t ready to start the match. After stern words from Sunny (including insults towards Paloma), the match began. After back and forth action, Spector went to the outside and the ladies were more than happy to whip Spector! After Spector turned the tide, El Mamacito was dumped to the outside. The lumberjills refused to whip Ann Dromeda, but not Paloma who took advantage of the situation. Ann Dromeda made a spectacular comeback. Spector attempted to use brass knuckles, but Sunny caught him! Sunny tried to use the brass knux on Spector, but he ducked and she ended up hitting Ann Dromeda instead. Spector went for the pin, and Sunny reluctantly counted the three. After the match, Spector gloated about his victory in Sunny’s face. The”original diva” could take no more and laid out Spector! Despite losing the match, it was indeed ladies’ night in River City Wrestling! Add Comment RCW Presents "Texas Explosion V" Results 04/13/2010
Texas Explosion V lived up to the hype as RCW delivered on one of its marquee events of the year! Over 400 fans were in attendance! This event began with award-winning Latin singer Leslie Lugo performing a spectacular rendition of the National Anthem. Lugo was accompanied by members of the United States Army Color Guard, one of which included RCW's own Ray The Voice! This was an incredible start to the event and RCW was proud to pay tribute to our nation. ![]() Once the opening ceremony concluded, the self-proclaimed "RCW Legend" Andy Dalton made his way to the ring. Dalton stated that you can't have a Texas Explosion without the RCW Legend, and issued an open challenge. To everyone's surprise, "The Extreme Aztec" SKAM-13 came to the ring. The former RCW Champion told Dalton to calm down, and that he wasn't facing SKAM on this night. Instead, Dalton will face SKAM's best friend Sicodelico Jr.! Sicodelico Jr. made his return to RCW in grand fashion with a beautiful Aztec Warrior head dress and embraced his best friend. The match between Dalton and Sicodelico was competitive, but in the end, Sicodelico was successful in his return bout! Match #2 was a "Lucha Rules" 8-person Tag Team Match between "Mr. Beautiful" Rudy Russo, Weazy Woo, Darci Drake and Jacobs Collins against "Mr. Magnificent" Ryan Sorenson, Amien Rios, Alcatraz, and a masked unnamed competitor. Prior to the match, radio personality from 99.5 FM KISS -- Chris Sifuentes -- escorted Weazy Woo down to the ring, engaging the crowd into chanting "when I say Weazy, you say Woo!" This was a spectacular 8-person match with all competitors employing high-risk tactics. Sorenson unleashed his beautiful standing dropkick, and Rios and Alcatraz also unleashed punishment with Rios focusing on Darci. However, the egos began to rear their ugly head for Sorenson, Rios, Alcatraz and the masked man, and Russo, Weazy, Darci and Collins were able to use a 4-on-1 advantage to dismantle the masked man, with each wrestler hitting their signature move. The four pinned the masked man, and then tore off his mask to reveal the person's true identity -- Mr. Right! Mr. Right lost a Loser Leaves RCW Match a year ago, and all the competitors in the match were quick to remind Right of the stipulation in a very physical way! ![]() Match #3 was the Triple Threat "1,000 Pounds of Humanity" Match between Keith Lee, Numero Dos and Jackson "Jax" Dane. If Jax was successful, he would officially become a member of the RCW roster. This match lived up to the billing as a true Texas heavyweight match. Lee was able to hit a devastating Death Valley Driver on Numero Dos, but as he was gloating over the spectacular move, Jax quickly went for the cover and scored the pin on Dos! Jax pointed out that he outsmarted Lee, and now that he's officially a member of the RCW roster, Jax has his sights on "The House of Pain!" ![]() Match #4 was the Battle of the Sexes Match between Alissa Flash and Joey "Super Shot" Spector. This was an incredible bout with action that took place both inside and outside of the ring. Flash punished Spector by getting him in the wheelbarrow position and swinging him through rows of chairs. Flash picked up chairs and threw them at the chauvinist, and then sandwiched Spector between a guardrail and a ring post. Back in the ring, Spector was able to counter a move and threw Flash back first onto a chair. Spector then employed dirty tactics, but Flash was able to come back and destroyed "The Super Shot" to get the win. After the match, Flash introduced Spector to his new ring gear -- a short skirt! ![]() Match #5 featured the return of TNA/AAA star and RCW icon "The Super-Mex" Hernandez as he teamed with "El Mamacito" Ann Dromeda against RCW Tag Team Champions The Texas Hitmen (Skitzo & Big Dogg). Ann Dromeda was able to employ his psychological tactics against The Hitmen while Hernandez display his physical prowess, including a delayed vertical suplex on Big Dogg! He held Dogg, a heavyweight in his own right, in the air for well over 10 seconds before dropping him to the canvas. Hernandez held Skitzo for the "beso," but he moved and Ann Dromeda kissed Hernandez instead! This momentary lapse proved to be a turning point in the match, and The Hitmen gained control. However, Ann Dromeda and Hernandez regained the advantage, and after Hernandez crushed Skitzo with a big splash off the top turnbuckle, Hernandez and Ann Dromeda won the Tag Team Championship... or did they? Referee Howie Rolle ruled that an earlier infraction was cause for a disqualification, and therefore The Texas Hitmen retained their Tag Team Titles! Hernandez and Ann Dromeda were upset at Rolle's controversial decision, and as a result, the scrutinized referee received a Border Toss for his troubles! ![]() Match #6 was a Ladder Match to determine an Undisputed RCW Champion between "The Extreme Aztec" SKAM-13 and the undefeated Jojo Bravo. SKAM-13 and Bravo used a variety of unique tactics involving the ladder. Towards the end, both competitors climbed the ladder and grabbed the rope holding the title belt. The ladder gave away, and both men clung to the rope. The rope gave in slack, and both men landed on the canvas. Both men were fighting to reach the belt, but SKAM draped Jojo's throat over the rope... this caused the rope to propel the belt high into the air! As SKAM was going for the belt, Skitzo made his way to the ring to attack SKAM, but Ann Dromeda cut him off! Again "The Extreme Aztec" went for the win, but Big Dogg came to the ring, but before major damage was inflicted, Hernandez saved the former RCW Champion! Just as it seemed SKAM finally had a chance, Andy Dalton came to the ring, but Sicodelico Jr. saved his best friend. A ladder was placed on two chairs and Jojo Bravo went for a Razor's Edge off the second turnbuckle, but SKAM-13 countered with a top rope huracarana through a ladder placed on two chairs! SKAM-13 then used another ladder to climb up and retrieve the RCW Championship! Following the match, SKAM-13 celebrated with his friend Sicodelico Jr., but then inexplicably Sicodelico Jr. superkicked "The Extreme Aztec." Sicodelico Jr. looked down at his fallen friend, and draped the Mexican flag over SKAM-13 prone body. Sicodelico Jr. did not explain his shocking actions! More than 300 fans packed the Good Shepherd for RCW’s “It’s Time II,” with all roads leading towards April 3 “Texas Explosion V” and May 1 “Sunny Days are Here Again 2.” Ray The Voice and RCW Promoter Brandon Oliver began the show by announcing that Tammy “Sunny” Sytch will return to RCW. Oliver also introduced RCW’s newest spokesmodel, Lilith, who helped Oliver with giveaways and RCW trivia contests throughout the night.Oliver then introduced Chico Latino, now escorted by Paloma, who was absolutely smitten with the “Sexiest Latino Alive,” but the feelings are evidently not mutual. Latino order Paloma to the ground like a dog and then used her as a step-stool to get into the ring. Latino then addressed the crowd – in Spanish – while Paloma translated that Latino issued a challenge to any Latino that wants to step up and challenge him as “Sexiest Latino Alive.” ![]() (Photo Courtesy: rcw-wrestling.com) Cue Madonna’s “Like a Virgin” and out came “El Mamacito” Ann Dromeda as a blushing bride led to the ring by the vibrant groom Major Mike. Ann Dromeda was excited to hear about hot Latin men, and wanted more than just Chico Latino. Amien Rios along with Mexico luchadores Sick Boy and Kaientai answered the call, and turned the contest into a five-way Scramble Match. Match # 1 - Five Man Scramble Match Chico Latino with Paloma vs. Ann Dromeda vs. Sick Boy vs. Amien Rios vs. Kaientai All of the competitors hit flashy moves including multiple dives to the outside. Rios suffered a nasty gash on his head and was eliminated from the match, and eventually Chico Latino scored the victory. Winner: Chico Latino Following the match, Ann Dromeda announced he wasn’t happy until he kissed a lucky man. An eager man jumped into the ring, and just as the flamboyant one was about to give the big smooch, the RCW Tag Team Champs The Texas Hitmen – Big Dogg & Skitzo – ambushed “El Mamacito” for the second event in a row and gave Ann Dromeda a savage beating. ![]() (Photo Courtesy: rcw-wrestling.com) Match # 2 - Ryan Sorensen vs. Weazy Woo The second match had “Mr. Magnificent” Ryan Sorenson in his second RCW match against Weazy Woo. Weazy landed a devastating code breaker that crushed Sorenson’s ribs. Sorenson was able to turn the tide, however, and secured another impressive victory in RCW. Winner: Ryan Sorenson Following the match was an interview with the lovely Darci Drake, however, Joey “Super Shot” Spector interrupted. Spector bragged about his WWE appearance, and Spector – attempting his best to look dapper – told the crowd he would give them what they wanted. He heard their squeals of delight when they saw his “splendid ass,” and he’ll make sure to give the crowd plenty of Spector. Spector turned his attention to Darci, and the chauvinistic Spector told Darci that women don’t belong in the ring, but rather in the kitchen and giving birth to babies. Spector challenged Darci to find two partners and he’ll find two partners and they’ll see each other again later. ![]() (Photo Courtesy: rcw-wrestling.com) Keith Lee then came out to address the crowd. Keith admitted he knew the masked man that he pulled out of the crowd and beat up was a local wrestler. Keith said that if wrestlers want to get into RCW, they have to go through him. Keith challenged anyone to fight him, and once again noticed the very large man he got into an altercation with on Feb. 6 in the crowd. Lee said he was done fighting fans, and wanted a professional wrestler. Numero Dos answered the challenge. Match # 3 - Keith Lee vs. Numero Dos The two 300-pound wrestlers battle from pillar to post, each landing big-time powerful maneuvers. Eventually the action spilled to the outside and down the aisle. Dos hit Keith and the former “pretty boy” accidentally landed on the large man in the crowd, knocking him out of his chair. As the action returned to the ring, the fan jumped into the ring and went after Lee. The entire locker room emptied with wrestlers and officials trying to separate Lee and the fan. Dos tried to separate them too, but soon tempers flared and the fan and Dos went at it as well! Oliver ordered Lee and Dos to the back and that the fan be escorted out, but the fan grabbed the mic. The fan revealed that his name is Jackson “Jax” Dane, and that he had a secret too… that for the past several years, he was a professional wrestler! He then said that he researched the promotions in Texas and the one he wanted to compete in was RCW! Dane then said that if he has to go through Lee, that’s fine. He then asked if Dos wants to get involved, and make the match “1,000 pounds of humanity,” a true heavyweight three-way match! Oliver accepted the terms, so the match is scheduled for April 3! Winner: No Contest (Fight halted when Jax Dane entered ring) ![]() (Photo Courtesy: rcw-wrestling.com) Match # 4 - Spector & The Texas Hitmen vs. Darci Drake, & The Collins Bros. Match #4 began with Joey Spector making his entrance and selecting the Tag Team Champions The Texas Hitmen as his partners! Darci then made her way out, and announced her partners as a “couple of good ole’ boys”… Brandon & Jacob Collins, The Collins Brothers! The match had plenty of action, with the Collins Bros. displaying their ability as a tag team to be reckoned with against The Hitmen! However, The Hitmen and Spector isolated Darci and prevented her for some time at making the tag! Once she did, all hell broke loose! However, in all of the confusion, The Hitmen hit a double-team move on Jacob, and when The Hitmen had their attention diverted, Spector snuck into the ring and scored the pinfall! Winners: Spector & The Texas Hitmen Following intermission, eight lucky fans were selected to serve as lumberjacks armed with leather straps for the Fan Lumberjack Strap Match between “Mr. Beautiful” Rudy Russo and the self-proclaimed “RCW Legend” Andy Dalton! ![]() (Photo Courtesy: rcw-wrestling.com) Match # 5 - Fan Lumberjack Strap Match Andy Dalton vs. "Mr. Beautiful" Rudy Russo Dalton came to the ring first and insulted the lumberjacks. Russo was quick on the attack, hitting Dalton with lightning-fast maneuvers. Russo gave the fans plenty of opportunities to whip the hell out of Dalton. However, referee Howie Rolle – whose decisions have come under scrutiny lately – drew the ire of the fans as every time Russo went for the pin, the counts were slow and deliberate, but when Dalton went for the pin, the counts were suddenly faster. Russo managed to thwart Dalton’s attempts at victory, and the desperate Dalton looked to the back for help… and out came Joey Spector! However, Spector’s assistance backfired, and Spector found himself soon on the arena floor… and on the receiving end of a whipping by the fans! Meanwhile, Russo KO’d Dalton and scored the victory! Following the match, a frustrated Rolle and Russo got into a confrontation, giving the chance for Russo to dump Rolle outside the ring and let the fans dispense their own justice! Winner: Rudy Russo Following the match, Ann Dromeda returned to the ring. “El Mamacito” was tired of being attacked by The Hitmen, so he went to Oliver to do something about it. He said that Oliver agreed to a Tag Title Match at Texas Explosion V on April 3 with The Hitmen provided that Ann Dromeda finds a partner. Bravo came out in a lucha mask, mocking the Mexico star. SKAM-13 and Bravo began the match head-to-head, and the match grew more intense. It was a classic back-and-forth match with both men countering each other’s offense. Bravo attempted a missile dropkick from the top turnbuckle, but SKAM ducked and Bravo instead connected with senior official Alex Marrozos. SKAM countered Bravo’s offense and went for a German suplex! Howie Rolle limped to the ring to count to three, but on the other side, Marrozos counted as well. Confusion erupted as Rolle claimed SKAM's shoulders were down, but Marrozos said that SKAM was successful in his defense. Both wrestlers kept tearing the title away from each other. Oliver eventually entered the ring, and after a deliberation, announced that he was holding up the title... literally... because at Texas Explosion V on April 3, the title will be suspended above the ring and an undisputed champion will be crowned between the two in a Ladder Match! Winner: Title Upheld. The Hitmen then came back out and interrupted Oliver, and claimed the night wasn’t over. They said they weren’t scared of Ann Dromeda and definitely not scared of Hernandez. They said they’ll handle Hernandez. Oliver told them why don’t they tell Hernandez himself, and Oliver phoned “The Super-Mex.” Over the mic, Hernandez told the crowd he couldn’t wait to see them again, and couldn’t wait to get his hands on The Hitmen and that they should be afraid when he returns to RCW at Texas Explosion V on April 3!
